About Lavonne
Lavonne has been singing from the age of two and by the time she was six years old, it was clear that the Lord had chosen her to bring His Word to life in the ministry of song.
She has devoted her life to Christ, music & song, and her family.
Since the 90’s, she has been serving the Lord through ministry at Highland Church, her home church in Queens, NY, leading worship and performing and recording music with the church. She is featured on the Highland Church album singing “I Won’t Let Go,” a favorite song of Highland regulars to this day. A remix to this song is featured on her first solo album entitled Need You Now.
In addition to recording and producing Need You Now in 2005, she recorded and co-produced a second album entitled I Won’t Complain in 2011. She has also recorded singles & albums with other Christian artists such as Groove of Jubal, M.A.J., and more.
She attended Nyack Christian College in Manhattan, NY for a degree in Church Music.
Currently, she continues to minister at Highland Church and makes guest appearances at other churches as well. She also performs for private occasions as well as community events. Balancing a busy schedule carefully, she is also a vocal coach at Joe’s Music Academy in Queens, NY.
Lavonne has been described as an electric songstress and a beautifully talented songbird among so many other great things. As a singer, songwriter, vocal instructor, businesswoman, and producer, Lavonne gets to do all of the things she loves most while praising the Lord. She is CEO & founder of Ennoval Inc. Production Company.
“Have you ever heard a person say "that’s my song" and immediately, they smile, clap, get up and dance?
When this happens, a certain endorphin within the human brain and body is released and helps them become joyful! They stay that way if they continue to sing and dance and enjoy the song. It keeps the person encouraged. This is why I love doing what I do.
…
I love to teach people how to sing because it helps them to see that with hard work, passion and perseverance they can accomplish anything.”
